Hello - I’m Kris, the new face behind Just Mia.

 
Like so many women, I’ve spent years juggling the business world alongside family life. But with a creative side that refuses to be hidden, I’m always on the hunt for an outlet to express myself. I also LOVE clothes… who doesn’t?! However, the time and energy to shop for them is an entirely different piece of the puzzle.

My weight has fluctuated throughout the years, and whilst I’m all for body positivity, I’ve lost count of the times I’ve stood in a high street changing room, surrounded by piles of clothes with a feeling of utter deflation. Walking out empty-handed was never the plan, but often the reality.

Then, nearly eight years ago, I discovered Just Mia and, not to be dramatic, I felt like I’d struck gold! 

A boutique filled with gorgeous, individual pieces. A warm and inviting place where I could feel comfortable, be myself and get some honest advice too… Maria had created something unique and special, and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since.

When the opportunity to take over Just Mia came along, there was no doubt in my mind. I loved what Maria had created, and I knew I couldn't be the only customer who felt that way. The chance to carry that forward, while bringing some of my own ideas to the boutique, was simply too exciting to pass up.

I genuinely believe that feeling good in what you’re wearing can change how you feel about your whole day. Whether you’re walking the dog, working from home, heading to the office or getting dressed up for a night out, we all deserve to feel fabulous! And having someone there to be your personal shopping buddy is entirely underrated. Being a mum of two teenage boys, I was never going to get that from the family angle… so Just Mia became my happy place.

That’s exactly what I'd like Just Mia to continue to be. A friendly, welcoming space where there’s no pressure, no judgement, and absolutely no need to be a certain size, shape or age. Just a place where you have the chance to look and feel wonderful.

I’m beyond excited to put my own little stamp on Just Mia, while keeping the warmth, individuality and personal touch that made me fall in love with it all those years ago.
